Configurator
eMIS Product Configurator provides a rule-based configurator for
management of assemble-to-order and configure-to-order products. It captures the
collective expertise of your engineers and allows non-expert personnel to use
that expertise to configure and price your products. eMIS Product Configurator
handles required Bills of Material, Optional Components or Bills of Material and
Dependent Bills of Material on Components.
The Configurator allows an
engineer to define a set of rules and values that govern the configuration of a
product line. By identifying the options, required Bills of Material for this
product and its Dependent Components, Order Entry becomes more efficient and
less prone to errors. End users will quickly and successfully generate complex
product configurations, including flexible pricing structures, features and
options.
eMIS Product Configurator demands less engineering involvement in the order
entry process due to the fact that the requirements need to be determined once,
and then the configurator will "Navigate"
the entry of orders based upon engineering or model specifications.
